apparently there is ANOTHER new chinese place on the ave that I didn’t know about that michael told me. so tonight, after the event, me and him and his gf went to try it out. I walked in and i smelled hot pot. they do all you can eat hot pot for 14 per person. and they have other stuff too. 

michael and his gf arent used to sharing dishes so we each ordered our own. guess what I got, zhu du, it was soooo good, i had such a good time eating them. i mean, they did it really well. cost around 13 dollar. 

I gotta work tomorrow, and do some readings, but i get to see my chinese friends so I am glad about that.

went to a taiwanese restaurant today with my chinese colleges and reagan for dinner. they have biandang, in the tin boxes, like an egg, veggies, and pork chops with rice. there was alot of smoke because the kitchen was really open but it was nice, not lot on the menu, but they gave plenty of food. 

I went to an event tonight downtown at a theatre, it was a event held by the school, there were ten professors talking about shakespeare, the admission was free because John was invited to give a talk on teaching shakespeare in london. it was a fun event, met some friends from london. 

tomorrow we are having an big event, and have to prepare for it early, so I will be retiring soon.

I spent six hours at work today, trying to improve my teaching or rather communication in chinese, also had my own sessions, read a ton and had our committee meeting where I presented my interview of John. I felt pretty productive, but than again I had nothing better to do. really ahead in my reading now. 

I found a place for my pullup bar and it was fun, I did pullups first time in two and a half years, and my arms go sooo sore that I can’t raise them above my head. in the past two days we have gotten over ten guys to join. so that is good news i suppose. 

I am glad the weekend is here, that means I get to sleep in a bit and play some starcraft with tomj.

all the new pledges like me, it is a good feeling. 

lalalalala, 我一不小心就把期中考试考得很好，我不是故意的。spent three hours at work talking to a college named bernard, he is from brazil and is into filming and making advertisements, he is also a big fan of movies, so we spent the whole time talking about favorite movies, He also gave me a quick lesson on how to normally tell if a movie is good or not. 

phantom menace, the first starwars prequal, was shit, because no central characters, messed up story that didn’t make sense and some other stuff. he made it sound legit. but ofcourse, not every movie had to be like that. his favourite director is woody allen. 

I was soo tired and didn’t sleep well last night, have to rise early tomorrow too. so might retire soon.

skyped with my mom for a bit, my grandma had a birthday, mom sent me a pic of the mood they ate, grandma looks older and i was sad for a bit.

10000 people was lost to the typhoon in the Philippines yet I didn’t feel a thing. Sometimes I try to listen and capture every conversation around me. Sometimes I try to tune out all the noise. I think, heading thoughts to the point ahead in the distance. What was the thought? I don’t remember.

All the problems arise and persist because people care too much. To change is to be problematic, to help is to love. 

Wanda said I am the perfect citizen. Was that sarcasm? Maybe. In terms of not causing problems, yes, I am the perfect citizen. In terms of helping, probably not.

working on veteran’s day was surprisingly busy, i had all four sessions, which doesn’t happen often these days. I was super tired once I got to work. 

some recruitment guys came to help us get guys and was hosting an event at a pizza place, I tricked reagan into coming with me to get free food, haha, it was really funny, the recruitment guy was talking to him for a long time about the fraternity. when we left he was like ‘fuck you max, I didn’t need to hear that shit’ haha.

I have to sleep now, i register for classes at six in the morning. 

I woke up and was sitting at my desk and I smell this scent of mooncake, I don’t even know where it came from but it was so strong like I was eating one. So i got really nostalgic and was craving for a long time. I remember the first ever danhuang yuebing I had was from ganso, and it was sooooo good it i got allergic to it, my lips swelled up. haha. But it was the best mooncake I have ever had in my life. and then sadly they stopped making mooncakes like that. 

the house is getting more people now, lots of freshmen, playing and drinking with them makes me feel younger, i like them. genuinely nice guys. they have never been to which wich so I took three of our pledges to dinner. it was good food. 

One thing i really hate is that mcdonalds stops making fillet o fish at twelve, pisses me off, it is sooo good tho. i think half the reason why i am talking about food is that i haven’t talked about food in a long time.  I hope the food at the co op is good. are you getting better at cooking?

umm,apparently,my,pcjust,crashed,and,i,can’t,usethe,spacebar,for some reason, so i had to use comma in bettween, and how i just realized that it started working again,… haha

I went and watched the huskies play colorado becaue scott has an extra ticket and I went with him. i liked talking to his parents. apparently many people from different state’s kappa sigma is here this week and it is kind of chaotic,我又去了大连家，吃了白菜木耳炒肉片，

i have something to tell you that you would be proud of me, I haven’t showered in three days haha.

today was kind of weird, nothing happened during the day except I took the test. ppl came to the house to drink later around eight. oh, forgot to mention that the whole greek system as well as some parts of the city all experienced an hour long black out. ppl were going around with torches and baseball bats, and I think ppl were burning couches haha. the police were not having fun.

well ppl gave me a mix of whiskey and coke, and we played beerpong a bit and then moved to poker, but that was boring because ppl were bad and drunk and it went so slow. so when tomj txted me to play starcraft I just gave my chips to someone and left. haha.

 

 

hey i think i did really well on my midterm today, hope you did well too. But I have soooo much to study for tomorrow’s exam, and it won’t be fun. so excuse me if I don’t write super long, but i am excited that the week is almost over and i get a longer weekend. on the bright side, i have lots of chocolate left over from the staff party. hehehe
